Move over Susan Boyle, there’s a new YouTube sensation: Ophir Kutiel of Tel Aviv, aka Kutiman. Actually, he’s only referentially on YouTube; originally, he’s created the amazing site THRU YOU, a mix-and-mash of YouTube videos presented in the style of that video site (check out your inability to scroll down and provide comments).
Highlighted in Wired, “Kutiman’s ThruYou Mashup Turns YouTube Into Funk Machine“, and more recently in Virginia Herffernan’s “The Medium” column in The New York Times Magazine, “World Music” , Kutiman shows how mix and mashing is done.
